RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
URGING AND REQUESTING THE Bauw OF SUPERVISORS OF
THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA TO TATE TEE NECESSARY STEPS
TO FUT INTO EFFECT TEE PROVISIONS OF THE )3'T (13 ACT WITHIN THE s ITNTM OF AYAMEDA.
WHEREAS, there has been enacted into legislation. by the State (. California.
the Short--Doyib Act brpviding for improved and exbanded menaal health services on.
county level and providing State aid for such services; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinTon of the Council of the City of Alameda that the
County of Alameda would gain. in this vital field by taking advantage of the pT0-
visions of the Shpbt-Deylo Act;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CCTIMMIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the Soard of Supervisors of thp County of Alameda is hereby urged and requested to
takp the 110' 1, steps in order that the advantagbo of the Shbrt-boyie Abt,
ablating to mental healtk services, be made, immediately available to all. the 001 0' the County. of Almmeda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is
hereby directed to transmit certified. copies of this resolution to the Board of.
