WHEREAS, public interest and necessity reqaire thnt the real property here-
inafter described be acepired by tMe City. of Alameda for public street and PGsftway
purposes in the vicinity of ttho intersection of Park Street and. Otis Drive, wlthin
the City of AlamseaG and
WHEREAS, Melvin YO Onkle and Wretha P. Onklu, his wife, as -loint teuants,
are the owners of the real. property hereinafter described and ars wbfling to trans-
fer the same to the City of Aaameda ..4) certain considerations set out in Section 2
of this resolptio;
NOW THEMEEORE„ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF AUGGODA as
follows:
Section 1. That tPe City of Alameda purchase from Mhlvin M. Orkle and.
Wrath& P. Onitle, his wife, as joint tenants, for the consideration. set out in Sec-
tion 2 of this resolution, sais consideration being of a value under the amount of
$1,000,00„)that certain real property situated in the City of Alamede, County of
Alameda, State of Califbrnia, ane. more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of tfte southwesterly linc of
Otis Drive and the crolongation of tPs southeasterly line of Park Street;
said point has coordinates y - 462,522.o5 feet and x - 1,494.689.40 feet
based on the California Coordlnate System!, Zone III, as ape all distances
in this description; thence southwesterly' allong said. prolongation of the
southeasterly line of Park Street 16.13 feet; thence northeaster:13 17.60
feet along the arc of a tangent pGrve to thp right soMtis a radius of 20,00
feet through. an angle of 50G 2.5, 2.GY to its intersection with said soaths
westerly line of Otis Drive; thence nortPwesterly along said southwesterly
lire of Otis Drive fegt to the point of beginribg,

Section 2. For and in consideration of the transfer of the renl propprty
set out above, the City of Alammda hereby agrees to inmtall for the benefit of the
grantors a five-foot wide Port]and Concrete Cement sidewalk adjacent to the cast
property line of the property of the grantors located. in tfte vicinity of Park Strmet
and Otis Drive, in the City of Alameda, and. the City of Alameda. furthnr agrees that
all street improvements installed by thp) City within the area of the intersection of
Park Street and Otis Drive and. abutting the real property of the grantors shalJ. be
installed without cost or expense to said grantors.
