RESOLUTION NO. 5839
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, STECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR REMODELING AND AIR CONDITIONING 1-ff THE CITY HALL
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CALLING FOR SIDS AND DIRECTING CITY
CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for remodeling and air conditioning in the City Hall Council Chambers,
numbered F 8-5H-10 and filed in the office of the City Clark ptember 2, 195H;
NOW THEREFORE, RE IT -RESOLVED FY OHO COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specificatiors, Special Provisions and Plana, numbered and .filed as
aforesaid, be, end the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURT_HER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council cf the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 100.5 0,clock a.m. on FRIDAY, SEPTEM.BER -12, 19E6 for
furnishing to the City cf all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment
necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifica-
tions and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall,
Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outsid, "Proposal
for Remodeling and Air Conditioning in the City Hall Council Chambers", or similar
designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the icr4est and
best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bide.
SeiG Specifications and Provisions may- be had by any prospective bidder on
application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolu-
tion and of said Specifications and Provisions.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adapted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled or the 2nd day cf September, 1956, by the following vote,
to wit:
Councilmen Collischonn, Freeman, Petersen, Schacht and
President McCall, (5).
