APPROVING AND ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1998-1959; APPROPRIATING CERTAIN MONEYS FOR THE
EXPENDITURES PROVIDED IN SA ED BUDGET FOR SAID FISCAL
YEAR AND RATIFYINN CERTAIN EXPENDITURES HERETOFORE

.WHEREAS, tnere has been submitted to, and filed with this Council, at this
meetidg, a budget representing a financial plan for conducting the affairs of the
City of Alaneda for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1958 and ending June 50, 1959,
which budget is marked, "Filed with the City Clerk in open meeting of 13 City Coun-
cil, September 16, 195eM;
NOW* THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
said budget as submitted to this Council at this meeting, and each and every part
thereof, be, and the same is hprey, approved and adopted as the budget for the City
of Alameda for the fiscal year 1958-1959, and that the expenditures of the various
sums of money therein provided to be spent for salaries and wages, maintenance and
operation and capital outlay by each department as therein listed. in detail are hereby
approved and authorized in total, by the above object classification, as the appro-
priations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1959.
BE IT FURTBER RESOLVED that there be, and are hereby, appropriated for the
fiscal year 1958-1959, the specified sums for the purpose of meeting the cost of
salanies and wages paid officers and employees, the cost of maintenance, operation,
and for equipment and othar capital outlay of the respective departments, divisions,
offibos and. boards of the City, and for all ether purposes designated In said budget
for the respective purposes of the said departments, divisions, offices aoR boards
of the City, and for such special funds and other purposes designated in said budget;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the 150115 herein provided for
are made out of tte General Fund for the fiscal year 1998-19590 except those made to
or for purposes for which special funds are established, and as to such last men-
tioned purposes said appropriations are made out of the special. funds respectively
established therefor.
3B IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such expenditures as may have been made by the
several departments, divisions, offices and boarda of the City after the beginning
of the fiscal year 1958-1959 and prior to the adoption of this resolution, and have
been or may be duly approved by the City Auditor, are hereby ratified, confirmed. and
approved, and shall be respectively charged against the approoriatipna herein and in
said bodgetEprovidpd for,

I, the undersigned, hereby certify- that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City' of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 16,o day of September, 1958, by. the following vote,
to wit:
