IN MEMORIAM TO MR. CYRUS M. FOSTER.
WITH HEARTFELT SORROW, the Council of the City of Alameda records the death
of one of its former employees, I. CYRUS M. FOSTER, who, at the time of his retire-
ment, was employed as a Lineman in the Public Utilities Department, Mr. Foster had
started his employment with the City in June, 1924, and had retired July 1, 1939.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that, in recognition of Mr. Foster's
capable service and his spirit of friendly cooperation with all of his fellow workers,
the Council of the City of Alameda hereby expresses its sense of personal loos and
its gratitude for the loyal and excellent service rendered by Mr. Foster.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread in full upon the
minutes of this meeting, and a copy thereof be forwarded to the family of Mr. Foster,
that it may extend to its members a sincere expression of sympathy and condolence in
their bereavement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that when this meeting of the Council of the City
of Alameda adjourns, it shall do so in respect to the memory of Mr. Cyrus 1'1. Foster.

and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 20th day of January, 1959, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: Councilmen Collischonn, Freeman, Petersen, Schacht and
President McCall, (5).

ABSENT: Nona.
