RESOLUTION NO 5895
AUTHORIZE NG TERMINATION OF A CERTAIN LICENSE AGREEMENT
BY AND BETWEEN THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALI-
FORNIA, LICENSOR, AND THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, LICENSEE
(REAL PROPEETY--WEST SIDE OF WEBSTER STREET OPPOSITE
TYNAN AVENTE).
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda, as Licensee, entered into a certain License
Agreement with. the Regents of the University of California, as Licensor, on the 14th
day of December, 1951; and
WHEREAS, the real property covered by said License Agreement is now in the
process of being acquired by the State of California, Division of Highways, for the
approach construction to the new Estuary Tube; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best Interests of the City to terminate such
License Agreement;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized, for and on behalf of the City
of Alameda, to execute an agreement with the State of California, Division of High-
ways, terminating the License Agreement referred to above. The City Clerk of the
City of Alameda is hereby directed to attest to same.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 3rd day of February, 1959, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: Councilmen Collischonn, Freeman, Petersen, Schacht and
President McCall, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
