ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR INSTALLATION OF A SANITARY SEWER IN CENTRAL AVENUE.
BETWEEN PARK AVENUE AND PARK STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS
AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for the installation of a sanitary sewer in Central Avenue between Park
Avenue and Park Street, numbered PW 2-59-1 and filed in the office of the City Clerk
on February 3, 1959;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions he, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hoar of 10:00 o'clock a. m. on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1959 for
furnishing to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment
necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifica-
tions and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall,
Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Pro-
posal for installation of Sanitary Sewer in Central Avenue Between Park Avenue and
Park Street", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hell, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolu
tion and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 3rd day of February, 1959, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gollischonn, Freeman, Petersen,
President McCall, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
