RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL Oi THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AND APPROVING A CERTAIN
FREEWAY AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA AND TIE CITY OF ALAMEDA (APPROACHES TO
SECOND ESTUARY TUBE).
WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of Public Works,
Division of Highways, has presented an agreement entitled "Freeway Agreement" which
concerns State highway Route 226 within the City of Alameda between .2:7, mile north
cf Atlantic Avenue and the Oakland city limits; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda is informed and aware of the
contents of said agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Alameda
that said agreement be executed;
VOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the agreement referred to above be, and the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor
of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized to execute., for and on behalf of the City
of Alameda, that certain agreement by and between tne State of California and the
City of Alameda entitled "Freeway Agreement", relating to State -tiighway Route 226,
within the City of Alameda between .25 mile north of Atlantic Avenue and the Oakland
city limits. The City Clerk of the City of Alameda Is hereby directed to attest to
same.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled or the 17th day of February, 1959, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Collischonn, Freeman, Petersen, Schacht and
President McCall, (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None.
