ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND FLAWS
FOR IHJE FIRST STAGE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROADWAY IN
TILDEN WAY- FROM THE INTERSECTION OF' PARK STREET AND
LINCOLN AVENTM TO THE ERUITVAIE BRIDGE, CALLING FOR
BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE 0_O.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special 2rov9 sions
and Plans for the first stage construction of a roadway in Tilden Way from the inter-
section of Park Street and Lincoln Avenue to the Fruitvale Bridge, numbered P0
8-58-12 and filee in the office of the City Clerk on March 3, 1c/59;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED SYTHE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Specisl Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed •as
sforesaJd, be, and the same ere hereby pproved and adbpted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and. completion of the work speci-
fied. in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City' of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 10:00 o,clock a.m. on FRIDAY, MARCH 13 1 for fur-
nishing to the City' of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, in. accordance with said Specifications and
Provisions. Bids must be presented. to the City Clerk, in the City Fall, Alameda,
Caaifornia, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for
Construction of a Roadway in Tilden Way between the intersection of Park Street and
Lincoln Avenue and.the Frultvale Eridge", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter cf the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
bast bid. The right is reserved to reject any- or all bids.
Said Specifications and FrOVi9i0M0 may be tad. by any prospective bidder on
application tu the City. Engineer, at his office in the City Fall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star,
9. notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution
and of said Specifications and Krovisions; provided, however, that said advertisement
shallrot occur until such tire as the DiYision of Highways, Department of Public
Works, State of California, shall have signified their approval of 1-ho said. Speci-
fications and Provisions.
