AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AND THE ALAMEDA FAMILY SERVICE
AGENCY, A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION, FOR A ONE-YEAR
PERIOD, SAID AGREEMENT RELATING TO FURNISHING. OF
THE SERVICES OF AN EXECUTIVE SECRETARY TO THE
SOCIAL SERVICE BOARD.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that that certain agreement dated July 23,
1957, by and, between the City of Alameda and the Alameda Family Service Agency relat-
ing to the furnishing of the services of an Executive Secretary to the Social Service
Board of the City Ct3r of Alameda be extended on the same terms and conditions for a
period of one (1) year to June 30, 1960; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Council of the City of Alameda that the
best interests of the City of Alameda will be served by extending said agreement;
NCW THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
that certain agreement by and between the City of Alameda and the Alameda Family
Service Agency, dated July 23, 1957, and relating to the furnishing of the services
of an Executive Secretary to the Social Service Board of the City of Alameda, is
hereby authorized to be extended for a period of one (1) year, to June 30, 1960, on
the same terns and conditions of the existing agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby
authorized to execute all documents for and on behalf of the City of Alameda neces-
sary to cause the extension of said agreement, and the City Clerk of the City of Ala-
meda is hereby directed to attest to same.

adjourned regular meeting assembled or the 30th day of June, 1959, by the following
vote, to wit:

NOES: None.
