ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND FLANS
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF GRAND STREET BETWEEN CLEMENT
AVENUE AND THE ESTUARY, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SANS
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Flans for the improvement of Grand Street between Clement Avenue and the Estuary,
numbered IN 6-59-11 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on June 30, 1959;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid. Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized,
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda 0111 receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 10:00 o'clock a. m. on FRIDAY, JULY 17, 1959 for fur-
nishing to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications and
Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda,
California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Froposal for
Improvement of.Grand Street between Clement Avenue and the Estuary," or similar
designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on
application to the City Engineer, et his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star,
o notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolu-
tion and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 30th day of June, 1959, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Collischcnn, Freeman, Petersen, Schacht and
Fresident McCall, (5).
NOES: None.
