Resolution 05970RESOLUTICN NO. 5970 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA URGING A 'VETO OF SENATE BILL 4a. WHEREAS, Senate 3111 10 has been adopted b' the Legislature of the State of California: and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda is vigorously opposed to 511,1 legislation on the grounds that it would place an added burden on the tax payer with- out a commensurate benefit; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Governor of the State of California, the Honorable Edmund G. Brown, is hereby urged to veto said Senate Bill 48, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby' directed to transmit certified copies of this resolution to the said Governor and to the City of Alameda's representatives In the Legislature. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 30th day of June, 1959, by the following veto, to wit: ATES: Councilmen Collischonn, Freeman, Petersen, Schacht and (5).
