AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AND APPRDVING AN
AGREEMENT BETTLEN T115 STATE CF CALIFORNIA AND
THE CITY Or ALAMEDA, RELATING TO CONSTRUCTION
OF DRAINAGE FACILITIES ON STAIE HIGHWAY ROUTE
226 (CTIS DRIVE, AT MOUND STREET AND AT PEARL
STREET).
WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of Public Works,
Division of Highways, has nresented to the City, for approval and execution, en Agree-
ment relating to the construction of drainage facilities on State Highway Route 276
(Otis Drive), at Mound Street and at Pearl Street, in the City of Alameda, which will
improve the now unsatisfactory drainage conditions existing along the said State
highway; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement provides that the financing of the construction of
said drainage facilities shall. be borne by both the State and the City, and the State
agrees, upon completion and acceptance by tha City of the work, to nay to the City of
Alameda the sum of 13,200.00 es its share therefor; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the bast interests of the City of Alameda
that said agreement with the State be executed;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT IEESOLVED EUf THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF ALAMEDA that
the Agreement referred to above be, and the sane is hereby approved, and the Mayor
of the City cf Alameda is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement cr behalf of
the City, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same.

and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 21st day of July, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
