Resolution 0598273 RTSOLUTION NO. 5,7)82 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A STRIP OF LAND, FORMERLY IN RAILROAD AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF ALA/FDA (TILDEN WAY PROJECT) RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAKEDA that the public interest requires, and said Council hereby declares its intention to order the vacation and atandbnment of a strip of land, formerly in Railroad Avenue, in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNINa at the intersection of the northwesterly line of Everett Street, 60 feet wide, with the southerly line of Railroad Avenue, said inter- anction having the coordinates of y - IL65,792.10 feet and x - 1497,783.79 feet based cn the California Coordinate System, Zone III, as are all bearings, distances and coordinates in this description; THENCE along last said line westerly or the arc of a curve to the right with a radius of 1,960.08 feet, an arc distance of 185.36 feet, to the northwesterly line of Lot 6 in 'Block "0" as said Lot and Block are shown on the "Map of Alameda Station Homestead. Tract" filed March 14, 1568 at page 60, in Man Book 17, in the office of the County Recorder of said Alameda County; THENCE along the direct extension of the last Said line North 34* 23f 18" East 7.20 feat to the southerly line of Tilden Way, 70 font wide, as said way is shown on Drawing 3939, Case 51, Sheet 7, City Engineer's files, City of Alameda, California; THENCE along said southerly line of Tilden Way easterly on the arc of R curve to the left with. a radius of 689.13 feet an arc distance of 79.41 feet; THENCE continuing along said southerly line of Tilden Way on a tanment to last named arc North 80* 581 00" East 96,31 feet; THENCE South 55* 36' 42" East 17.32 feet to the said northwesterly line of Everett Street;' THENCE along last said line South 34* 23' 18" best 13,00 feet to the BEGINNINa. RESOLVED, FURTBER, that said strip of land, formerly in Railroad Avenue, to be vacated and abandoned and the details cf sale vacation are more particularly shown upon that certain map known as Drawing 4843, Case 54, beaning the legend: "A strip of Land Formerly in Railroad Avenue to be Abandoned", which map is hereby approved for the rurpdse of this proceeding and is hereby ordered filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Alameda, and which map is hereby referred to for particulars as to the proposed vacation- PESOLVEM, FURTHER, that the lath day of SEPTEMBER, 1959, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. of said day, in the COUNCIL CHAMBERS in the CITY HALL, at the northwest corner of Santa Clare Avenue and Oak Street, Alameda, Califcrnia, be, and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing by the Council of said. City of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby directed to cause this resolution to be published, in the manner proscribed by law for the publishing of ordinances of the City cf Alameda, in the Alameda Timea-Star, a daily newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City, and the official newspaper thereof. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby directed tc post, or cause to be posted, conspicuously along the said strip of land, formerly in Railroad Avenue, proposed to be vacated, notices of such vacation, in the form. and manner required by the legislative act hereinafter mentioned. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that in the herein proposed vacation of said strip of land formerly in Railroad Avenue, aforementioned, the Council of the City of Alameda hereby elects to proceed under and in pursuance of the provisiona of the Street Vaca- tion Act of 1941 of the State cf California (Chapter 250, Statutes of 1941), as amended. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of August, 1959, by the following vote, to wit: AYEE Councilmen Collischoun, Petersen, Schacht and President McCall, (5).
