DESIGNED TO RELIEVE TSAFFIC CONDESTION AND AID TRAFFIC
CONTROL IN THE ESTUARY TURENS).

tube indicates that serious traffic conpestion occurs because of vehiculaw breakdowns

WHEREAS, another and new Fhtuary tube is now being oonstrupted by thw State
of California wherein the same droblems will exist; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City. of Alameda. nes been presented with. a hro-
hfsed remedy for each congestion by thh installation of conveyor' dsvice(s) in said
tube;
NOW THEREFORE', BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the State Eirhway Engineer of the State of California and the Board of Sophrvisorp of
Alameda County. are hereby urged to give serious study. and consideration to the feasi-
bility of installing such. conveyor dovice(s) to accomplish the desired erdt of prompt-
ing bettor traffic control and relieving traffic conzestion in said Webster Street
