IN APPRECIATION AND COMMENDATION OF MR. RICHARD RICCA
FOR HIS SERVICES ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA.
WHEREAS, MR. RICHARD (DICK) RICCA has been a representative of the Press
in the City Hall of Alameda for the past five years and has now been transferred to
another city; and
WHEREAS, Mr, Ricca has been most alert in giving full coverage of all news
events and has thereby earned promotion through his efficiency and integrity in per-
forming the duties of his job; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ricca has been most cooperative and friendly with all City
officials and employees with whom he has worked in Alameda City Hall.
NOW, THERTFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Alameda
acknowledges with sincere commendation the excellent job done in accurately present-
ing the news and its gratitude for his understanding approach in publicizing the
City and for his harmonious relations in his association with City Hall personnel.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVTD, had the City Council extends to Mr. Ricca its
felicitations on his past endeavors in the field of journalism and its hest wishes
for his continued success and for his personal good health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk forward a copy of this resolu-
tion to Mr. Ricca as a token of good will from his many friends in Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 2nd day of August, 1960, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Collischonn, Petersen, Schacht and
President McCall, (4).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman Freeman, (1).
