AUTHORIZING EXECIBUON OF CONTRACT WITH ALAMEDA CHAMBER
CT COMMERCE FOR ADVERTISING FCd THE 'FISCAL YEAR ENDING
JUNE 30, 196t, AND APPROPRIATING $19,000 FOR SUCH.
PURPOSEF. •
WHEREAS, the Alameda Chamber of Commerce is willing to undertakh the wsrk
of advertising the City of Alameda and to carry on all the necessary publicity for
said City during the fiscal. year ending June 30, 1963b and
WPEREAS, the production cf subh advertising and publicity requires special.
services of a professional and technical. nature and special technical skill and
facilities:
Nnw THEREFORE BF. IT BESPLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CJTY OF ALAMEDA that
the Cif of Alameda enter into a contract with the Alameda Chamber of Commerce for
the carrying on by said Chamber of Commerhe of all necessary publicity and advertis-
ing on behalf of the City of Alameda for the fiscal. year ending June 30y 1961.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that a form of contract to be entered into by and
betwhen the Alameda. Chamber of Commerce and the City of Alameda, 11011.1 11 to the
Council and filed with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda on SeptembAr 20y 1960,
and the terms, agreements and provisions thbreof be, and the samb arA hereby
approved.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby author-
ised and directed to X1 0311 and the City Clerk to attest, on behalf of the City of
Alameda, a contract substantially in the. form and containing the covenants, agree-
m1 nts. and provisions set forth in the aforesaid form of 71 3.
3ESC1VED, FURTEER, that pursuant tb Cxdinance No. 641 New Series, as
amended by. Ordinance No. 962 New Series, the sum of $19,000,00 be, and is hereby
appropriated out of the General Fbmd of the City to by used for publicity or adver-
tising for said City for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1961, in the manner and
fhr the purposes provided in said Ordinance No. 641 New Series, as amended,
