DESOLUILDN OF INTENTION In APPROVE AN AMBRDNENT TO CONTRACT
CETWEEN THE BOARD OD ADMINISTRATION OF THE STATE EMPLOYEESt
RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND TUE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITI OF AIAMEDA,
HEREAS, the State Employees' Retirement Law permits the participation of public agencies
and their employees in the State Employees' Retirement System by the execution of a contract, and
sets forth the procedure by which said public agencies may elech to subject themselves and their
employees to amenddnnts to said Law; and
WHEREAS, one step in said procedure is the adoption by the legislative body of the public
agency of a rent:Ain:ion giving notice of its intentipn to approve an amendment,to said contract,
whDeb resolution shall contain a summary oE the changes proposed in said contract; and
WHEREAS, the following, is a summary cif the proposed change;
I. Pard.-Tnne classes of Indermediate Typist-Clerk (I), 1' "1 (T), Senior
Clerk-Typist (Td, Recroation Specialist, Recreation Lead), r, Recreation Aide,
Swimmirs Pool Mhnager, Senior Lifeguard, Lifeguard, Cashier-Attendant, Locker
Attnngrant, Instructor Aide, and Relief Steward arc to be excluded from the.
Contract between the City of Alameda and the State Employees( Retirement System,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVER RN. THE COUNCIL OF THE CRIB' OF AIANERA that the City Council
of the City of 3 1amed2 gives, and it does hereby give notice of intention to approve an amendment to
contract between said City Council and the Board of Administration of the State Employees' Retirement
System, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and. by this reference
made a part hereof.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
intronuced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda In regular meetlng assembled on. the 15th
day of November, 1960, by the following vote, to wit:
