RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
COMMENDING WILLIAM G. WERNER FOR PIS MEV YEARS
CF PUBLIC SERVIC
WHEREAS, William G. Werner has been the Poblisler of the Alameda Times-
Star since 19E9, and had devoted his efforts to providing full coverage of the
news to the citizens of the City of Alameda; end.
WHEREAT:, the said William G. Werner has actively participated in public
affairs at State ard loc al. levels and has vigorously served. the City of Alameda
both through the publication of the Alamede Timbs-Star and his personal civic
activities; and
WHEREAS, the said William G. Werner has no3 . relinnuished his position
as Publisher of the Alsobde Times-Star for a well-deberve peribd of rest.
BOWE THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED, by t Council of the City of Alemede
that, in recognition of the many years of active public service rendered by Willica
G. Wernerb the City of Alameda heTeby extends to him its commendation; and
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be
transmitted to William G. Werner as -r expression of the City's best wishes for
