RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN COMMENDATION
OF COUNCILMAN HELEN L. FREEMAN FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE TO THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA.
WHEREAS, the term of office of HELEN L. FREEMAN as Councilman of the City of Alameda has
drawn to a close, effective on the 18th day of April, 1961; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Helen L. Freeman has served the City of Alameda faithfully and meri-
toriously, ever keeping uppermost in mind the ultimate welfare of its citiaens; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Freeman has represented the City of Alameda as a member cf the Board
of Directors and as an officer of the Shoreline Planning Association of California and, in her acti-
vities with this organization has endeavored at all times to further the interests of the City of
Alameda in the field of planning and development with which the Association is concerned; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Freeman has many times acted on behalf of the Council of the City cf
Alameda and, in so doing, has brought recognition to the City through her thorough knowledge of the
City's problems and her devotion to the Council's efforts to resolve those problems,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Alameda hereby offers its
felicitations and expresses its gratitude and appreciation to Helen L. Freeman for her years of
loyal and unselfish service to the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution be transmitted to
Helen L. Freeman as a token of the esteem in which she is held by the Council of the City of Alameda.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
18th day of April, 1961, by the following vote, to wit:
