RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN COMMENDATION
OF COUNCILMAN HAROLD B. PETERSEN, JR., FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA.
WHEREAS, the term of office of HAROLD B. PETERSEN, JR. as Councilman of the City of
Alameda has reached its date of termination, effective on the 18th day of April, 1961; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Harold B. Petersen, Jr. has devoted much time and effort in his
service to the City of Alameda during his tenure of office; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Petersen has served one term as Vice President of the City Council
and Mayor, nro tem, and while holding this office, he presided at the meetings with dispatch and
consideration for all those having business before the Council; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Petersen has shown a steadiness of purpose and genuine concern for
the best interests of the citizens of the City of Alameda.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Alameda hereby commends
and extends to Harold B, Petersen, Jr. an expression of its gratitude and appreciation for his
faithful and unselfish service to the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution he forwarded to Harold B.
Petersen, Jr. as evidence of the gond will and respect of the Council of the City of Alameda.
