RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ADOPTING
SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR RECONSTRUCTION
AND RESURFACING ON BUENA VISTA AVENUE FROM GRAND STREET TO
IYEdSTER STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the reconstruction and resurfacing on 3uena Vista Avenue from Crand Street to Webster Street, num-
bered IN 9-61-14. and filed in the office of the City Clerk en September 5, 1961;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 5Y TILE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid Speci-
fications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed es aforesaid, he, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 1961 for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accord
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City
Ball, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for
Reconstruction and Resurfacing on Buena Vista Avenue. from Grand Street to Webster Street", or
similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to
reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions way be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The Eity Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions,
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th
day of September, 1961, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dungan, Codfrey, Schacht and President Collischonn, (4.).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman McCall, (1).
