RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ADOPTING
SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND FLANS FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF A STORM SEWER ON FERNSIDE BOULEVARD BETWEEN CAMBRIDGE DRIVE
AND MORELAND DRIVE, CALLINC FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK
TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS. the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the construction of a storm sewer on Fernside Boulevard between Cambridge Drive and Moreland Drive,
numbered VW 9-61-15 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on September 5, 1961;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY II1E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Snenifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, he, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said
Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 a. m. on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 1961 for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hexeinahove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the
City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for
Construction of a Storm Sewer on Fernside Boulevard between Cambridge Drive and Moreland Drive",
or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will he awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the
City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid, The right is
reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Tines-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th
lay of September, 1961, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dungan,Godfrey, Schacht and President Collischonn, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman McCall, (1).
