RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN APPRECIATICN
AND COMMENDATION OF MARSHALL S. PEASE FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA.
WHEREAS, MARSHALL S. PEASE has served as a member of the City Planning Board for the term
beginning July 1, 1951, and expiring June 30, 1956, during which time he was elected to the Chair-
manship of said Board for the years 1953-54 and 1955-56; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Pease has served as a Commissioner and the Chairman of the Housing Authority
of the City of Alameda for the period from March 19. 1957, until August 31, 1961, at which time he
found it necessary to tender his resignation from this Body; and
WHEREAS, Mr, Pease has now been appointed as e member of The Redevelopment Agency of the
City of Alameda which was created by Resolution No. 6260, adopted by the Council of the City of
Alameda on July 18, 1961, and he has been appointed by the Mayor of the. City of Alameda to act as
Chairman of said Agency for the remainder of this calendar year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BC IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Alameda does hereby express
00 Mr. Pease its sincere gratitude for and commendation of his willingness to give of his valuable
time and outstanding abilities in serving the citizens of the City in the important work and deci-
sions which must be carried out through the functions of these Boards and Agencies.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk forward a certified copy of this resolution.
to Mr. Marshall. S. Pease as a token of the Ereat esteem and appreciation of the City Council for his
past accomplishments and his acceptance of further responsibilities on behalf of the best interests
of the City in future endeavors and to extend its felicitations to Kr. Pease for his continued good
health and happiness.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
5th day of September, 1961, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dungan, Godfrey, Schacht and ?resident Collischonn, (4).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman McCall, (1).
