WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Precisions and Flans for
construction of a passenger loading area. on Atlarke. Avenue easterly nf Main. Street, huvnered
PW 10661-17 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on Octobefr 17, 1961;
NOW THEREFORE, BE fk: RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE rfif OF ALAMEDA. that the aforesaid
Sperficarjens Special Provisions and Plrns, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
RES13 1VED, FURTHER, that the performance and. completion of the work specified in said
Specifications end Prnviskons be., and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FUPTIIEN, that the Counkl of the City of. Alameda fdll receive sealed bids up
to the hour of 11.00 o'clock a.m.. on THURSIDICY, NOiERBEII. 2, 1961, for furnishing to the.. City of all
labor, materials, 1(1. '1 tools and equihwent neoessary for the wnrk herelnabove referred to,
in. accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Brids must be presented to the City Clerk,
in the City Hall, ck_ameda, Califorbi,e, under senled cover•and plainly marked on. the outside,
"Preposal for Construction of a Passenger Loading Area un Atlantic Avenue easterly of Main. Street",

Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the (0'' '1 of the. Charter of the
City of Marled/1, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and. best. bid. The right is
reserved to reject any er all bids.
Said Specifications and ProvIsAons may be had by any prospective bidder on application. fo
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with. khe provisions of this resolution and of said. Specification's
