RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AUTHORIZING
THE COMqENCEMENT OF CIVIL ACTIONS AGAINST CERTAIN ELECTRICAL
EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS AND SUPPLIERS WHO HAVE CONSPIRED TO
RIO BIDS AND FIX PRICES, TO THE DAMAGE OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA,
AND CONSENTING TO THE EMPLOYMENT OF SPECIAL LEGAL COUNSEL IN
CONNECTION THEREWITH.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Attorney of the City of
Alameda is hereby authorized to commence and prosecute civil actions against any or all certain
electrical equipment manufacturers and suppliers who have conspired to rig bids and fix prices,
to the damage of the City of Alameda, including the Bureau of Electricity of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney of the City of Alameda is hereby empowered
to employ special legal counsel in connection therewith.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
19th day of December, 1961, by the following vote, to it
AYES: Councilmen Dungan, Codfrey, McCall, Schacht and President Collischonn,
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Nonn.
