RESOLUTION OF [01 COUNCIL 0- THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN APPRECIATION
AND bOWNDATION OF DR, MAYNARD R. MOODY FOR HIS SERVICE TO 7.7E
003' OF BLAMBDA.
WHEREAS, DR. MAYNARD R. MOODY was appointed on September 30, 1946, as a member of the
original Golf Carmission created by Ordinance No. 487, New Series, and has served continuously in
this capacity through reappointment to membership on the present Advisory Golf Commission, created
by Ordinance No. 1138, New Series; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Moody has ever been keenly interested in the growth and improvement of the
Alameda Municipal Golf Course as a recreational feature of the City; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Moody was vitelly concerned with the establishment of the new Alameda Muni-
cipal Golf Course and worked diligently in promotin the support of the people to attain saic
installation in order that more of the citizens of the community and the East Bay area might have
adequate facilities available for healthful recreation in this type of sport.
'0', THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, that the Connell of the City of Alameda and the people of
the community do hereby express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Moody for the many years of
unstinted efforts he has given as a member of this Commission toward effecting the efficient and
attractive operation of the Alameda Municipal Golf Courses. for the financial benefit of the City
and the pleasure of the citirenSi and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk forward a certified copy uf this resolution to
Dr. Maynard R. Moody as a [taken Gf the gratitidde and contnentlation of the City Council for the loyal
and. valuable service rendered by his, with its felicitations for his continued good health and
happiness.
I, the undersigned, hereby eertify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting asseabled on the
2nd day of January, 1962, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dungan, Godfrey, McCall, Schacht and President Collischonn, (5).
