wen-known and civic-grnded citizens, EVERETT F. FAT:NEIL, who had been a. member of the Bogra of
Education from. Lune 4, 1929, until his resignation on Hay 3, 1939. •
WIEREAS, Mr. Farwell had been keenly conceTned with the develuwent of business interests
in the City 8nd had also given unstintedly of his time nnd effort. on behalf of the corwrEnity
the enterprises of many civic and fgaternal organizations; and
WEDREAS, D:r. Farwell had brought honor to the City of Alauleda allE to himself througll his
Dresidency of the California School Trdetees AssociatAon and the Alameda Chapter of the grnexican.
Red Cross and had been greatly respected 17.C4- his leadership these fields of endeavor.

service to the coffin:unity and his friendly cooperation with all hls associates, the Council of the
City of Alameda herely e'xpresscs its sadness at the loss of this fine. man and its appreciation for
his active participation in. many beneficial projects; and
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that this resolution be spread in full upon the minutes of this
meetlng vnA that a copy thereof be forwardeA to the family of Mr, FErwell in order to extend to
its members a sincegm expression of sympathy and condolence in their bereavement; and
