RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Al '12'13 REQUESTING
CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ,77,N PROPERTY ACQUIRED 38 THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES (LANE PROPERTY -- FOR
EXPANSION OF GODFREY PARK).
WHEREAS, the real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of
California, described as follows:
Account No. 74-1081-6-1, - Sale No. 203962
Assessor's Map 74; Block 1081; Parcel 6-1; Code Area 100,
has been assessed heretofore for County purposes for the fiscal year 1937-58 (and any following years),
and taxes levied thereon, plus penalties and costs, are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said assessment and taxes became a lien on said reel property, to
wit, on September 30, 1957, said real property was, by final judgment in condemnation, acquired, and
ever since has been and now is, owned by the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being used for
public purposes, and because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
said Final Order of Condemnation referred to above was entitled, CITY OF 41 455 a municipal corpora-
tion, Plaintiff, vs. R. BEATRICE LANE, Defendant, (No. 284290) and was recorded October 2, 1957 in
Book 8483, page 333, of Che official records of Alameda County, California,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 514 61.\ that the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby requested to make its order, and to take such
Eurther proceedings as may be necessary, to cause all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties or
costs charged or levied for County purposes upon the aforesaid parcel of real property, to be can-
celled; and that a record of such cancellation be made by the officer or officers having custody of
the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation
Code of the State of California-
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk forward four (4) certified copies cf this Resolution
forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
15th day of May, 1962, by the following vote, to wit:
