FESOIXTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ADOPTING
SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR INSTALLATION
OF HOUSE LATERALS, REPAIR OF PORTLAn CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK,
DRIVEWAY, CURB AND GUTTER, AND MINOR STREET PATCHING WTFH
ASPHALT CONCRETE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 7963,
CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specfications, Special Provisions and Plans for the
installa■Aon of HOUSE LATERALS from the street. laterals to the property line, and other work appurten-
ant thereto, for the fiscal year ending June 30, ,963, numbered PO 5-62-11 and filed with the City
Clerk on May 15, 1962; and
HEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
REPATR OF PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, DRIVEWAY, CURB AND GUTTER for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1955, numbered PW 5-62-9 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on May 15, 1962; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
MINOR STREET PATCHING WITH ASPHALT CONCRETE for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1963, numbered Poi
5-62-10 and filed in the office of the CPYy Clerk on May 15, 1962;
Nry-; THFREFO'AF, 9E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, bk.., and the same are
hereL,y approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions he, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, ehat the Coancil o the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 a. m. on THURSDAY, MAY 31, 1962 for the furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials and equipment necessary for said work, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1963, in accord-
ance wirh said Specifications and Previsions individually prepared therefor. Bids must be presented
to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked
on the outside with the 55 1.8.11 of the fiscal year work to which said bid applies.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject Lo the provisions of the Charter of said City,
to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest alld best bid, The right is reserved to reject any
or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on applicazion Le
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California,
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions.
