RESOLUTION OF- THE COUNCIL O° THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ,APPROVING
AND ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1962-1963; APPRO-
PRIATING CERTAIN MONEYS FOR TME EXPENDIIPRE3 PROVIDED IN SAID
ELIDOET FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR AND RAJIFYINB CERTAIN EXPENDITURES
HERETOFORE MADE.
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to and filed with this Council, at this 0,111 9, a
budget representing a financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the fis-
cal year beginning July 1, 1962, and ending dune 30, 1963, which budget is marked "Filed with the
City Clerk in open meeting of One City Council, September 4, 1962;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said budget as
submitted to this Council at this meeting, and each and every part thereof, be, And the same is
hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for the City of Alameda for the fiscal year 1962-1963,
and that the expenditures of the various sums of money therein provided to be spent for salaries
and wages, maintenance and operation, and capital outlay, by each department as therein listed in
detail, are hereby approved and authorized in total, by the above object classification, as the
appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 3(1, 1963,
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be, and are hereby, appropriated for the fiscal year
1962-1963, the specified sums for he purpose of meeting the cost of salaries and wages paid
officers and employees, the cost of maintenance, operation, and for equipment and other capital
outlay of the respective departments, divisions, offices and boards of the City, and for all other
purposes designated in said budget for the respective purposes of the said departments, divisions,
offices and boards of the City, and for such special funds and other purposes designated in said
budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the appropriations herein provided for are made out of
the General ;Bead for the fiscal year 1962-1963, except those made to or for purposes for which
special funds are established, and As to 01011 last mentioned purposes said appropriations are made
out of the speoial funds respectively established therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such expenditures as may have be made by the several depart-
ments, divisions, offices and boards of the City after the beginning of the fiscal year 1962-1963
and prior to the adoption of this resolution, and have been or may be duly approved by the City
Auditor, are hereby ratified, confirmed and approved, and shall be respectively charged against she
appropriations herein and in said budget provided for.
