RESOLUTTON OF THE COUNCIE OX THE CITY OF ALAMEDA CONGRATULATING
THE REVEREND FATHER. AffliN P. WAGNER UPON 1' APPOINTMENT AS
DOMESTIC PRELATE OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 111bil EHE TIME
OILRICHT REVEREND MONSIGNOR.
WHEREAS, The Reverend Father ALVIN P. WACNER has been appointed by Pope john EX1II to
the position of Domestic Prelate of the. Roman. Catholic Church, with the title of Right Reverend
Monsignor; and
WHEREAS, 'Father Wagner has served the congregation of St— Joseph's Church as Pastor for
approximately five years; and
WHEREAS, during his pastorate Father Wagner has endeared. himself to the members of his
parish. by his devotion. to their needs, both spiritual and social, and by his active parEicipation
in the wor. of various Boards and Committees of the 616fral“ and
WHEREAS, Father Wagner has earned the respect of the citizens of the City of Alameda as
an outstanding, leader' in fhe community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that, in recowition
of his elevation tr, this high. office, the. Council, on behalf of the people of the. City' of Alameda,
does hereby convey to MonsignoT Wagner its hearty congratulatAons.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEDE that a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted to The
Right. Reverend Alvin F. Wagner as an expression of the City's best wishes for his future good
health, happiness and continuing success.
