REQUESTING UTAH CONSYRUCTION & MINING CO. TO EXPEDETE
COMPLETION OF CONTRACTUAL, OBLiGATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT
OF THE ALAMEDA SOUTH SHORE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1168 New Series, an agreement was entered into between
the City of Alameda and Utah Construction Company relating to the filling, retention and develop-
ment of certain lands within the City cf Alameda; and
WEREAS, in accordance with said agreement, Utah Construction. Company undertook the fill-
ing, improvement and development of that area vithin the City commonly known as the South Shore
Project; and
WHEREAS, under the aforementioned agreement, and certain oLher subsequently executed and
relatPd agreements, there replain to be performed by the said Utah Construction Company, certain
outstanding obi.i.gations in regard to the physical improvement of said filled lands; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that Utah Conetruction Company, as well as
the City of Alameda, will benefit substantially if further delay in the performance of these out-
standing obligations, and in the development of the South Shore Area, is avoided;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE "11>6 (1]] ALAMEDA that Utah Construc-
tion & Mining Co. be, and is hereby, requesLed to proceed with all deliberate speed in the perform-
anee of Its remaining contractual dotes and in the development of the aforementioned South Shore
Project,
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be transmitted to Utah ConstrucUen 4
MAreing Co. and. Reclamation District No, 2 7.
