ADOPTING A BHDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1963-1964; APPROPRIATING
CERTAIN MONEYS FOR THE EXPENDITURES PROVIDED E\ SATO BUDGET FOR
SAID FISCAL YEAR AND RATIFYING CERMIN EX.PENDITURES NERETCF031 MADE,
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to and filed with this Council, at this meeting, a
budget representing a financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the fis-
cal year beeinning „My I, 1963, and ending June 30, 1964, which budget Is marked "Filed smith the
City Clerk in open meeting of the Clay Council, September 3, 1963;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 19 0)15(1 OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said budget as
submitted to this Council at this meeting, and each and every 151 thereof, be, and the same is
hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for the City of Alameda for the fiscal year 1963-1964,
and that the expenditures of the various sums of money therein provided to be spent for aalaries
and wages, maintenance and operation, and capital outlay, by each department as therein listed in
detail, are hereby approved and authorized in total, by the above object caassification, as the
appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1964.
BE IHT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be, and are hereby, appropriated for the fisea) year
1963-1964, the '5 1511 sums for the purpose of me.e.ting tale cost of salaries and wages paid officers
and employees, the cost of maintenance, operation, and for equipment and other capital outlay of the
respective departments, divisions, offices and boards of the City, and for all other purposes desig-
nated in said budget for the respective purposes of the said departments, divisions, offices and
boards of.the City, and for such special funds and other purposes designated 11 said budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the appropriationa herein. provided for are made ou5
of the General Fund for the fiscal year 1963-1964, except those made to or for purposes for which
special. funds are estaL'aished, and as to such last mentioned purposes said appropriationa are made
out of the special funds respectively established therefor.
[5, IT FMRTHER. RESOLVED that such expenditures as may have been made by the seHatral depart-
ments, divisions, offices and boards of the City after the beginnins of the Fiscal year 1963-1961 .
and prior U) the adoption of this resolutaon, and have been. or may be duly approved by the City
Auditor, are hereby ratified, confirmed and approved, and shall be. respectively charged asainst
the appropriations herein and in. said budget provided for.
