CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 6515
DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF' AIAMEDA AS MAJOR
CITY STRIETS.
WHEREAS, the provisions of Seutions 2050 to 2055, Chapter 2, Divislon 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code. provides that each city council shall select a eystem of major 111V streets, on the
basis of greatest general city Importance, sabject to the approval. of the. State Depaxtment of Public
orks; and
WHEREAS, streets may be included in or exuluded from the city system of. major oity streets
subject to the approval in. each case of the State Department of Nubile Works;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CONNCIL OF TIE CITY OF 4'I 4. that the following
aarved streets udthin the City of Alameda be, and the. same are hereby designated aw major city
streets, to be. included in the major city street system.
1. Westline Drive, from Shore Line Drive to Portola Avenue.
2. Eighth Street, from Portola Avenue to Central Aveoue.
3. Shore Line Drive, from Broadway to Uestdihe Drive.
4. Grand Street, from Shore Line Drive to 200 feet south of Paimera Court.
5. Otis Drive, from Willow Street to Westline Drive,
6. Willow Street, from Shore Line Drive to Otis Drive.
7. Broadway, from Shore Linz Drive to Otis Drive.
6. A new street. from Broadway to High Street, 100 feet, (plus or minus)
north of Shore Line Drive cwftended.
9. High Sfreet, from the new street 03) to Ctis Drive.
as said streets are shown and desiguated in red on the drawing attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that the State of Califorrda, Department of Nubile Works, is hcreby
requested to approve the inclusion. of the above named streets in the major city street system.
