Improvement of Garden Eniad, between County Road and Mecartney Bead, as
follows: grading and paving, construction of concxeZ.e curbs,. giEtters
and sidewalks, and storm drainage imprevenienLs.
NOTICE IS HE.REBY GIVEN that the City Engineer has estimated tlnat the tot .al cost of said
qniEn and improvements, includIng all. incidental expenses, is the sum of $46,381.27.
RESOLVED, MUER, that. all of the above mentioned work IS more particularly and specifi-
cally set. for'th and. described in the plans, profiles and specifications for said work heretofore
adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda by its Resolution No. 6521., which plans, profiles ard
specificationq are hereby referred to for ail particulars in 31'I(I they'endth. The areas here-
inaboye described and refered to are shown and delineated in detail anql specifically located on
the plans hereinabove '33133, '.1 to, and reference As hereby specifically m.ade to said plans, and
notice is hereby given to all. parties that specific locations thereof are contained in. said plans.

RESOINE.D., FIIRTHER, that the said City Cnunall hereby finds that. said contemiplated work and
improqn,ents, in the opinEon of this Council, is of anire than local or ordniery benefit, and said
Counnil hereby ma.kes the expenses and costs of said work and Improvements chargeable upon a distrin.t,
which said district said Council hereby declares the disErict benefice.d by the. work and improvera.ents
herein described; said district shall include that territory in the City of Alameda, Ceonty of
Alalle.da, State of California, whicli is shoiin on that eerta,in plat cr [tap on file. in thg office of
the City Engineer of the City of Afiameda, and which is entitl.ed and described, 33' 11., Road Assess-
ment District", aii,d which Said map or plat. indicates, by a boundary line, the. extent of the. territory
included in the proposed district and covers a1 l. details as to the extent of the area to be assessed;
said map or plat is, by this reference, incorporated herein and made a part hereof;
Excepting from the area shoim and delineatind on said map or plat, hereinabon,e referred to,

NOTICE IS HERM GINEN that serial bonds shall he issued in the manner and form provided
in Parf 5, Division 7, of the Streets and flighways Code cf the Stato of Californfa (Improvement Act.
of 1911) to represent unpaid assessments of Fifty Dollars 050.00) or over, which said bonds shall
bear intarest at. Lhe rate of six per cent (6%) per annum, and Lhe last installment of which bonds
shall mature nine (9) years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the next September 1st fol-
lowing their date. Said bonds shall be payable to fhe bearer, and may he redeemed as provided in
the Unprovement Act. of 1911, and there shall be added to the redeuipiton cJause in said bonds the
followirg words:

NOTICE. IS HERM FURTHER CTVEN that on Tuesday, tbe 15th day of CuTober, 1963, at the
hour of 7:30 p.m. of said day, at the. meeting place of the Council of the City of Alameda, County
of Alameda, State of. California, aoy and all persons hawing any objection to the. proposed work or
improvements or any 1)C, 1, to the grades to which. said work is proposed. fo be done or to the
boundaries of thl . district. proposed to he assessed fo pay the cost and expenses of said fiork, may
appear before said. Council 1 the City of Alameda and show cause why said improvements should not
be carred out in accordance with this Resolution of Intention, and mny present writtifil protest,
not lafer than. the hour 1,1' 1. set for hearing against the doing of said. work, the grades to
which said work. is to he done, or the extent of the territory to be assessed to pay. the cost and
expenses thereof;
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that Tuesday, the 15t11 day of October, 1963, az the hour
of ° p.m. of said day, at Lhe meefing plaoe of the Connoil of the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for the hearing as to the pub-
lic conivenience and necessity of the construction of said improvements in accordance with the
provisions of the impfoveifient Act of 1911 and without compliance with the Special Assessment
Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protesf Aut of 1931, and it is hereby ordered that said
hearing shall be held by this Council at said time and place.
The City Clerk of the City of Alameda shall cause this Resolution of Intention to be pab-
lisTud twice in the Times Star, a daily newspaper of general circulation published and circulated
in the City of Alameda, which said newspaper has heretofore been deaignated by said Council as the
newspaper In which shall be printed and published all notices, resolutions, orders and other matters
fequired to be published in the proceedings taken pursuant to this resolution and under the, provisioni
of said Improvement Act of 1911 and amendments thereto; the firse publication of faid notice shall
be not less than ten (i0) days prior to the date herein fixed for hearing on this Resolution of
Intention;
The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution of 1.1 <('55 to be posted for five (5) days
on or near fhe door of the Council Chamber of the City Council of the City of Alameda, California,
which posting shall be completed at least five (5) days prior to the date herein fixed for said
hearing..

said contemplated work and improwifalerit, and on all the open streets within the assessment district,
notice of fhe passage of tiiis Reaolution of Intention in. th5 . time., form and manner required by law.
The City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby <. .1 to mail a copY of this Resolution
of Intention, postage prppaid, fo all persons owning real property proposed to be assessed, whose
names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for City Taxes, or as known to
said City Clerk, said mailing to be af leasf fifteen (15) days prior to the day herein fixed for
die hearing on this Resolution of Intent:fon, all in the +Amu, form and manner prescribed in said
Improvez 51 Act. of 1911 as amended.
