CANCELLING CITY TAXES 1 PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE ALAMEDA
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR POI:CLIC PURPOSES.
AMENS, the following deepribed real property, situated in the City of Alameda, County of
11 ('1 State of California, to wit:
BEGINSOCCG at a point on the northern. tine of Pacific Avenue, distant thereon north
88°17' most. 987.17 feet from the. Intersection thereof (eltP the. weste= line
of 5th Street, as said avenue and street existed on june 15, 1S3A; running
thence south 88.7171 east along said line of Pacific Avenue, 796.85 feet to

surveyors, page 20, in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County;

has been assessed heretofore for City purposes for the fiscal year 1963-1964 and taxes and penalty
levied thereon in the sum. of $637.20 are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the Lime said taxes became a lien. on said real property, it. was, by Deed
recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on May 2, 1953, Reel 872, image
724, reference AU 75114, acquired, and ever since has been and now is owned by the Alameda Unified
School District, and has been and noe. is being. useG for public purposes, and beGause of such public
ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED .13 TnE COUNCIL OF IRE CITY 1 NLNMEDA, with the written.
consent of the City Attorney attached 1(10 0' that all uncollected taxes charged CT levied for
purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together wich penalties and posts thereon, be, and the
same are hereby, cancelled, and the Auditor and clne Tad Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby
authoriced and directed to cancel the same on. Cheir respective books.
