CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 6541
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF ARCH CULVERTS AT BROADWAY AND ST. MARGARET
COURT AND AT PEACH STREET AND FILLMORE STREET, CALLING FOR
BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the construction of arch culverts at Broadway and St. Margaret Court and at Peach Street and Fillmore
Street, numbered PW 11-63-21 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on November 19, 1963;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 1963, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City
Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Con-
struction of Arch Culverts at Broadway and St. Margaret Court and at Peach Street and Fillmore
Street", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved
to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California,
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications
and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled 'on the
19th day of November, 1963, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Freeman, La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
