RESOLUTION ATEHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR TEMPORARY
GOLF PROFESSIONAL.
WHEREAS, on June 26, 1962, the City and Earl Fry entered into a contract ,:herehy Lat-
ter agreed to act as Golf Professional of the Alameda Municipal En.lf Course for the period from
July 1, 1962, to December 31, 1966, upon the terms and conditions set forth in said contract; and
WHEREAS, Earl Fry died on January 13, 1964, thereby terminating said contract and leaving
the City without the services of a golf professional at its said golf course; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest and benefit that a qualified person be at all
times available at the Alameda Municipal Golf Course to perform the duties and services of a golf
professional, and City therefore desires to enter into a short-term agreement with such a person,
pending selection in due time of a permanent professional; and
WHEREAS, Mark 'Fry is qualified by experience and ability to act as a temporary golf pro-
fessional and is wiljing and desirous of entering into a contract to provide such services to the
Alameda Municipal Golf COUTSE for the period commencing January 14, 1964, and ending March 31,
1964, upon terms substantially similar to those contained in said agreement between the City and
said Earl Fry;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ''4141 OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor be and
hereby is authori7ed to execute, on City's behalf, a contract with Mark Fry to act as Temporary
Golf Professional of r.he Alameda Municipal Golf Course for the period commencing January 14, 1964,
and ending March 31, 1964, said contract relating to the rights, duties and liabilities between the
Professional and City, and containing terms substantially similar to those heretofore in effect
between CiLy and Earl Fry.
, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted 9', the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the
I5th day of January, 1964, by the following vote, to wit,:
AYES: Councilmen Freeman, McCall, Rose and President (odfrey, (4.).
NEES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman La Croix, Jr., (1).
