BEHALF CP CITY.
'..)H.E.REAS, pursuant to Section 501.2, Public Resources Code of California, the City of Alameda
and the Sate of California, acting by and through its Department of Parks and Recreatinn, propose
that an agreement between said parties be entered into providing, among other things, for the grant-
ing by State to City of an easement for public road purposes over a portion of 014 E('8 Memorial
State Beach, located in City; and
WHEREAS, City desires '..a) acquire said easement in order to extend Westline Drive over said
poraAon to connect with Eighth Street, upon the Lerms proposed and for a consideration of $5,880.00.
and
WHEREAS, the Council finds the acquisition of said Interest in real property is in connec-
tion with proceedinas authorized by and Laken 117 (4' said Section 5012, Public Resources Code;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF ALAMEDA:
That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to execute a contract with the State of
California provlding for the acquisition by the City of a public easement'. for extension of Westline
Drive co Eighth Street over a portion of Alameda Memorial State Beach;
That parcent by the City to the State of the sum of $5,880,00 as. consideration for the
grant of said easement is hereby authorized;
That the City hereby accepts said grant of easement in the real property described
therein; and
That a copy of said agreement and grant of easemena, qpecifically describing said prop-
erCy, shall be filed with the City Clerk.
