RESOLET1ON OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN CDMMENDATION
OF WALTER A. SliARAFANOWICR, LIBRARIAN.
WHEREAS, Walter A. Sharafanowlch mss appainted Librarian. of the City of Alameda on
August 1, 958, and has recently tendered his resignation from said position, effective Febru-
ary 15, 1964 and
WHEREAS, Mr. Sharafanovrich has establishad many innovations in tbe operatIon of the pub-
lic library and has endeavored to provide vital reading and reference material in all categories
to snrve the increasingly broad interests and needs of the people of this community; and
WHEREAS Mr. Sharafanounch has applied himself diligently to the renaxation and beauti-
fication of the Library and its facilities for the pleasure of its patrons..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the 43 11 Alameda acknowledges with
appreciation the, 31.144) 41 sinnal by mr. 4134, 84141 during his tenure as City Librarian.
4 11 FURTHER RESOLArnD, that the Council of the City of Alameda extends to Mr.
Sharafanowich its commendation for his conscientious one knowledgeable performance of his duties
and its best wishes for has future good health and happiness.
