CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLJTION NO. 6583
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF EIGHTH STREET FROM WESTLINE DRIVE TO PORTOLA
AVENUE, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the construction of Eighth Street from Westline Drive to Portola Avenue, numbered Pi: 2-54-3 and
filed in the office of the City Clerk on 'arch 17, 1964;
NOW THEREFORE, 3E LT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL. OE THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions he, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FORTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 1964, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabeve referred to, in accord-
anee with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented tu the City Clerk, in the City
Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Con-
struction of Eighth Street from Westline Drive to Portola Avenue", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alwaeda, to She responsible bidder who submits She lowest and best bid. The right is reserved
to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, an his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed tn advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications
and Provisions.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on elle
17th day of March, 1964, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Freeman, La Croix, Jr., Rose and Vice President McCall, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: President Godfrey, (1).
