ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
THE RESURFAC,ING OF SHE.RMAN STREET NORTHERLY OF THE SEGREGATION
LINE, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE
SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the. resurfacing of Sherman Street northerly of the Segregatina Line, numbered FIr 4-64-8 and filed in
One office of the City Clerk 09 April 7, 1964;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid Speci-
fications, Special Provisions and Plana, numbered and filed as aforesaid, he, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions be, and he same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City nf Alameda 4.11. receive sealed bids up tn
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a. m. on FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 1964, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, '0-113 551) equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must he. presented to the City Clerk, in the City
Hall, Alameda, California, tinder seated cover and plainly marked nn the outside, "Proposal for the
Resurfacing of Sherman Street Northerly of the Segregation Line", or similar designation.
c.tract, ir awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to
reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Ttmes-Star, a nhtice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions.
