ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
INSTALLATION OF STANDARD ARCH CULVERT AT INTERSECTION OF
SANTA CLARA AVENUE AND THIRD STREET, CALLI.Ng FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the installation of standard arch culvert at the intersection of Santa Clara Avenue and Ihird Street,
numbered PW 4-64-9 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on April 7, 19641
NOW THEREFORE, BE RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid Speci-
fications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions he, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
Ole hour of 11:00 o'clock a. m. on FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 1964, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City
Hall, Alameda, California, under scaled cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for
Installation of Standard Arch Culvert. at Interaction of Santa Clara Avenue and Third Street", or
similar desienation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to
rejent any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder 91, application to
the City Engineer, at his office' in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled en the
7Lh day of April, 1964, by the following vote, to wit:
