ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL :PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
INSTALLATION (IF ARCH CULVERTS Al INTERSECTIONS OF TAYLOR
AVENUE AND ST. CHARLES STREET AND PACIFIC AVENUE AND HIBBARD
STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE
SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, SpecAal Provisions and Plans for
khe installation of arch culverts at the intersections of Taylar Avenue and Sf. Ch.aries Street and
Pacific Avenue and Hibbard Screet, numbered PW 4-64-11 and filed in the office of the City. Clerk
on April 21, 1964;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisinas and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and fhe same
are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of fhe work specified in said
Specifications and Provisions be, and Lhe same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED. FURTHER, that: the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11160 o'clock a.m. on 'FRIDAY, MAY 1, 1964, for furnishing ko the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, fools and ecnipment necessary for the WOT hereinabove referred acccrd-
ance with said peeifications and Provisions. Fide must be presented ko fhe City Clerk, in the
City Hall, Alameda, Califarnia, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, fPr6posal for
310 ,1 of Arch Cuiverks at intersections of Taylor Avaffue and St. Charles Street and Paoifie
Avenue and Aibbard Street or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will he awarded subjeDt t 1 he provisions of the Charter of the
City of Alameda, to khe responsible bidder who sabadke fhe lowest and best bid. Ike righN IS
reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions ay be had by any prospecfive bidder on application
fo the City Engineer, at has office. in the Ci mty Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertiee, in file Alameda Times-Star, a nokice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance wifh fhe provisions of knis resolution and of said Specifications
and Provisions.
