ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS FOR FURNISHING TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
SIX (6) NEW, 8-CYLINDER, 4-DOOR SEDANS, 1964 MODELS, WITH
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, CALLING FOR
BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Specifications and Provisions for
furnishing to the City of Alameda six (6) new, 8-cylinder, 4-door sedans, 1964 models, with automatic
transmission, for the Police Department, No MS 5-64-4 - filed in the office of the City Clerk on
May 5, 1964, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on TUESDAY, MAY 26, 1964, for furnishing to the City of said auto-
mobiles, in accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must he presented to the City
Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside,
"Proposal for Six (6) 4-door Sedans for the Police Department", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of sald
City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right Is reserved co reject
any or all bids.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
5th day of May, 1964, by the following vote, to wit:
AyE5: Councilmen Freeman, La Croix,,Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
