ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
MINOR STREET PATCHING WITH ASPHALT CONCRETE, REPAIR OF
PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, DRIVEWAY, CURB AND
GUTTER, AND INSTALLATION OF HOUSE LATERALS, FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1965, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
MINOR STREET PATCHING WITH ASPHALT CONCRETE for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1965, numbered PW
5-64-16 and filed with the City Clerk on May 19, 1964; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
REPAIR OF PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, DRIVEWAY, CURB AND GUTTER for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1965, numbered PW 5-64-17 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on May 19, 1964; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the INSTALLATION OF HOUSE LATERALS from the street laterals to the property line, and other work
appurtenant thereto, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1965, numbered PW 5-64-18 and filed with
the City Clerk on May 19, 1964;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be., and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, authorized,
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 1100 a. m. on THURSDAY, MAY 28, 1964, for the furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials and equipment necessary for said work, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1965, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions individually prepared therefor. Bids must be presented
to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked
on the outside with the designation of the fiscal year work tc which said bid applies.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of said
City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to reject
any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the Ciry hall, Alameca, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda limes-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications
and Provisions.-

1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
19th day of May, 1964, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President. Godfrey, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Freeman, (1).
