ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
PAVING WORK IN VARIOUS CITY PARKS, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVEU1SE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
paving work in various City parks, numbered PW 5-64-14 and filed in the office of the City Clerk, on
May 19, 1964;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FORTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions he, and the some is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, MAY 29, 1964, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must he presented to the City Clerk in the City
Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Paving
Work in Various City Parks", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to
reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may he had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk i5 hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications
and Provisions.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by [he Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
19th day of May, 1964, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose And President Godfrey, (4).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman Freeman, (I).
