THE RECONSTRUCTION OF FIFTH STREET FROM 'PACIFIC AVBNUE TO
BUENA VISTA AVENUE, CALLING FOR BIOS AND DIRECTING CCP'

WHEREAS, the City.Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the reconstruction of Fifth Street from Pacific Avenue to Buena Vista Avenue, numbered P14 7-64m21
and filed in the office of the City Clerk on July 7, 1964;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbe.red and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTRER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. op FRIDAY', JULY 17, 1964, for furnishing to the City of all labocm.
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Blds must be presented to the City Clerk, in the
City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, 'Proposal for
the Reconstruction of Fifth Street i.,rom Pacific Avenue to Buena Vista Avenue', or. siTlar
designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the
City of Alameda, to the responsible. bidder who submits the lowest and best. bid. The right is
reserved to reject any or all bids,
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office the City Hall, Alameda, California,
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-St.ar, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this 0. resolution and of said Specifications
and Provisions.
