RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAAEDA IN APPRECTATION
AND COHMENDATION OF RAYMOND E. BROWN, RETIRED AUDITOR, 0x-oFercio
ASSESSOR, OF THE CITY OF 4.1A1EDA
THE COONCIL OF THE CITY OF A1AMEDA records with pride the Twenty-nine yeaxs of service
rendered by Mr. RAYMOND S. BUOWN, as an employee and official of the City of Alameda.
WHEREAS, Mr. Brown was first employed by the City on September I, 1935, as a Utility
4.4 4. for the Bureau of Electricify, Department of Public Utilities, in which position he per-
formed most competently and earned his appointment as the Deputy 4. 44 of the City on November 1,
1944; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brown was appointed to the position of Auditbr, Ex-Officio Assessor, of the
City of Alameda on April 17, 1960, tb fill an existing vacancy in this office for which he was than
a successful candidate at the next General Municipal Election, held on March 14, 1961; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brown has now retired from this post as of September 30, 1964.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda, being cognizant
of the conscientious and efficient manner in which Mrs Brown assumed Ode responsibilities and con-
ducted the business of this important office, hereby expresses its gratitude for his genuine sense
of inXegrity, loyalty and cooperatiou in performing his duties; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that t.he Council of the City of Alameda and his many 441 (.1-34.
throughout the cod:enmity extend to Mr. Brown their felicitations for his confinuee good health and
fu fore happiness.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adwpted by the Council of the City' of Alameda in adjourned regular meeting assembled
on the 29th day of September, 196a, by the following vote, to wit:
